Dr. Karen Vine, DVM, CVAT:

Dr. Karen Vine has been practicing veterinary medicine since 2000. After 17 years in general practice, she shifted her focus to end of life care, helping pets and their families during their most difficult of times. In 2022, she received her acupuncture certification from Canine Rehabilitation Institute as a Certified Veterinary Acupuncture Therapist. This certification is focused on western medicine and is based on musculoskeletal, fascial and neuro-anatomical responses to acupuncture, with a sincere homage to the historical role and efficacy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is currently pursuing an additional certification in TCVM (Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine) Palliative and End of Life care so that she can help to address end of life concerns from all perspectives. She has a soft spot for furry gray faces, including her sweet toothless Lorelei pictured here sporting her usual tongue-out look.
